ACSTA Silent Auction to Support the CCSTA Toonies for Tuition Fundraising Campaign
The 2026 ACSTA AGM Planning Committee is holding a silent auction at the ACSTA AGM Convention Awards Banquet on Saturday, November 14, at the Westin Edmonton in support of the Canadian Catholic School Trustees’ Association (CCSTA) Toonies for Tuition fundraising campaign.
We would like to invite your school division to participate in this initiative. Here’s how you can help:
- We are asking each member board of ACSTA to contribute one item to the silent auction (additional donations are welcome). Silent Auction Donation Form
- Consider approaching vendors, school councils, parents, local businesses, and parishioners for donations. Sample Silent Auction Request Letter
Examples of items that tend to be popular at silent auctions include bottles of wine, food baskets, coffee-themed gifts, electronics, sports memorabilia, tickets to professional sporting events, home décor items, and gift cards.
As this is a provincial event that attracts attendees from across Alberta, please keep in mind that donations with broad appeal often generate the most interest. While local experiences and services are appreciated, items such as spa services or restaurant gift certificates may be most effective if they are redeemable at multiple locations across the province.

To obtain the special discounted rate of $159.00 CAD per night, rooms must be reserved by Monday, October 12, 2026, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservation requests received after this date will be accepted based on space availability and may be subject to a higher nightly rate. All rooms must be booked under the individual name of the registrant attending the 2026 ACSTA AGM & Convention.
Please note: a limited number of rooms have been reserved for the Board of Directors attending the Board meeting beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2026.
